Dr. Arnold Koo

Hi, I'm Dr. Arnold and my chiropractic story begins way before I was even aware of it.  Growing up in my hometown of Orinda, CA, I was fortunate to have parents that involved me in a variety of different activities and sports; however, with the constant undertaking of these activities, I always seemed to have small aches, pains, and discomfort.  I experienced severe asthma and was constantly on two different types of inhalers.  Being very active in multiple sports throughout my childhood, injuries were very common and one shoulder injury, in particular, brought me to a chiropractor.  At the time, I thought that going to the chiropractor was just to help fix my shoulder but little did I expect, consistent visits actually helped with my childhood asthma and skin sensitivities.

After finishing my Bachelor of Science at the University of Oregon, I knew I wanted to make a career out of helping others.  I am an avid Crossfitter and it was a severe back injury that brought me back to chiropractic.  Because of this injury, I could not sit, stand or even lay in bed without excruciating pain and knew that I needed some help.  Initially, I sought out what most of us would consider typical medical attention.  However, after receiving an inconclusive x-ray, two prescriptions for pain medication, and a total of about 8 weeks with no resolution I was forced to seek another route.  I knew deep down in my heart that this could not be my only option.

It was not until a friend recommended that I go see a chiropractor that I truly experienced and learned about the amazing capabilities for the body to heal given proper nervous system function.

I decided that this was the type of care people deserved to know about and made it my mission to deliver the true potential of chiropractic to those around me.  I enrolled at Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA and never looked back.

After Chiropractic College, I had the opportunity to serve and learn at internships from some of the best Chiropractors in the northeast specifically at Innate Chiropractic in Newburgh, New York.  I was also fortunate to be able to serve at another wildly beautiful and successful office in Hendersonville, Tennessee - Stewart Chiropractic Center.  It was during those experiences where I truly discovered the impact that chiropractic care can make on the health of a community and became determined to bring that impact back to the East Bay.
